Karen joined the BLUES lab in 2019, as an undergraduate student pursuing a Computer Science degree. Her research interests include Mobile Security, Human-Computer Interaction, and Usable Security and Privacy. Her goal is to make cybersecurity knowledge accessible to multiple communities by raising awareness to create behavioral change in how users interact with technology. While attending UC Berkeley, she has founded HaloHackerz, an initiative to educate students about security and privacy online.
